The Surry Old Time Fiddlers Convention will be held this year on June 16-17 at Surry Community College in Dobson, NC.

A square dance will be held Friday night and the contests will be on Saturday. More details to follow.

The Surry Old Time Fiddlers Convention is an annual event located on the campus of Surry Community College in Dobson, North Carolina. The two-day convention includes activities celebrating the historic folk music of Surry County.

The convention offers visitors and participants an array of activities, including competitions in adult and youth individual instruments, dance, folk song, and band contests, a square dance, cake walks and cash drawings, a quilt raffle, luthier displays, jamming, and dining at The Knight’s Grill.

The Surry Old Time Fiddlers Convention is a partnership between Surry Community College, Surry Economic Development and Tourism, Surry County Tourism Development Authority, Dobson Tourism Development Authority, and The Foothills Arts Council.
